Experience :
Rangaswamy, Yost & Associates, Inc., Louisville, Kentucky.
As President of the Rangaswamy, Yost & Associates, Inc. he was responsible for marketing and project management of several projects in the fields of air pollution control, wastewater treatment plants, facilities in military installations, office buildings, parking structures, vehicle maintenance facilities, theaters and auditoriums. Industrial-type buildings designed by Dr. Rangaswamy include dust collection bag houses, electrostatic precipitators, scrubbers, cooling towers and vibration studies on machine foundations. He was also in charge of designing bridges and involved in development of standard bridge systems such as steel bridge decks, intermediate pile bents and end pile bents for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Senler, Campbell & Associates, Inc., Louisville, Kentucky.
As principal engineer in charge of design, he was responsible for several commercial and industrial types of projects including several high-rise apartment buildings, high-rise office buildings, hotels, recreation buildings, finite element analysis of floor systems, theaters, schools, university classroom buildings, parking structures, multipurpose recreational facilities and swimming pools.
University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky.
While pursuing his studies leading to Doctor of Philosophy, he was senior research associate in charge of structural analysis and design of three dimensional post tensioned concrete orthogonal space frames for efficient use of space in hospitals and computer rooms. This floor system integrates mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural systems of building and afford minimum interference and maximum flexibility.

UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE EXPERIENCE
Cardiovascular Innovation Institute, 2004, Arrasmith Judd Rapp Chovan, Architects, Mr. Arne Judd
Cardiovascular Innovation Institute is an advanced research Laboratory Specializing in the Field of Cardiovascular diseases and surgery. This building under design is seven stories tall including he basement and located
in a very tight site surrounded on three sides by existing buildings. The building will be constructed of reinforced concrete pan joists framing into reinforced concrete band beams. The foundation system consists of
augercast piles. Due to the proximity to existing buildings several columns have to be located off center to the pile caps and require tie-beams back to the nearby columns. The estimated construction cost of this
building is $21,000,000.00.
Belknap Research Building, 2004, Omni Architects, Michael Jacobs
This building at a budget of $45,000,000.00 was an ultra modern research facility comprising of nano-scale research laboratories as well as associated offices to be located within the Belknap Campus of the University
of Louisville. The vibration criterion was established for the top two floors as VC-A (Root-Mean-Square amplitude 2000 Micro-inch/sec) and for the nano-scale at VC-D (Root-Mean Square amplitude 250 micro-
inch/sec). To satisfy these criteria, a conventional one-way concrete joist floors with band beams were used and vibration criteria checked using the advanced technology council manual ATC Design Guide 1. To
minimize the ambient vibration effects. The first floor (Nano-Research Facility) was made stiff, using structural solid slab of 18 thick, to interact with the caissons and grade beams, our firm provided the necessary
structural engineering services for this high-technology research laboratory.
